david dixon was up next, theatrically introducing his rather humungo collection as inspired by the gardens of babylon.
and one can certainly notice the influences of flora in dixon’s designs, from the fluidity of many layers of petals on a skirt, to the fragility of roses sitting at the hip to the more structural aesthetic of tulip skirts. if you think we are crazy, click here to see what we mean.
the whole thing came together in a collection we suppose we’d enjoy seeing on a more – ahem – mature bras and ranties reader, though a few garden-godess, ethereal one shoulders at the end certainly caught our eye. though apparently not the eyes of the camera men, since we can’t seem to find a shot of it anywhere.
