rantie.

an open letter to dell;

i am writing to send my regards to the moron in your marketing department who developed this one. della: the dell-for-women website.

since you have decided on our behalf that the world of computing and system software is beyond our grasp, we can now take solace in the fact that we have a website made just for us ladies.

here, we’re encouraged to browse a range of candy-coloured mini computers, and to check out all the fashion forward laptop bags. and just in case we get confused, you’ve provided us with informative tech tips, such as:

once you get beyond how cute they are, you’ll find that netbooks can do a lot more than check your email. you can eat better: find recipes online, store and organize them, and watch cooking videos. and your mini can be your meditation buddy.

please. how much more insulting can you get?

i encourage you to employ corrective action toward the process that gave this strategy the green light. as well, i encourage you to take the marketing dollars wasted in the development of this piece of junk, and re-invest it back into understanding your consumer, and developing the product experience to satisfy those insights.

tsk tsk. bras and ranties boos.

    Here here! I second your post! Shame on Dell! It’s possibly worse that the Barbie Matel had to take off of the market which said “math is hard!”
